Managers should bear in mind that they have a duty to conduct risk assessments for a range of situations. Some of those assessments have to be repeated at specific times.
Pregnancy – Risk Assessments
An employer should conduct an assessment when he/she is notified that a woman is expecting.
Beware that a second risk assessment has to take place when the woman reaches her 26th week of pregnancy. The second assessment should take account particularly of the increased risks that the woman is likely to face because of the advanced stage of her pregnancy and the potential complications from Covid 19 or variants.
Guidance on what should be considered can be read here.
